"We have received a total investment proposal of around Rs 4.78 lakh crore so far. This includes MoUs and announcements by top industry leaders," Kota said.
The total figure includes more than Rs 1 lakh crore investment announcements by industry leaders like Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, and Rs 78,000-crore investment by the government sector in infrastructure development, he added.

What PM Modi Said at Advantage Assam 2.0?
Speaking at the summit, PM Modi on February 25 called Advantage Assam a
"grand campaign to connect the world with Assam's potential and progress", adding: "History bears witness that Eastern India used to play a significant role in India's prosperity in the past as well".
"As India moves towards becoming a developed nation, the region is once again set to showcase its strength," he said. Modi felt that this Summit reflects this spirit of growth and opportunity.
CM Himanta Sarma Highlights Infra Expansion
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma highlighted the state's growth from insurgency and unrest to development, according to an AN/report.
Addressing the inaugural session of the Summit in Guwahati, CM Sarma said, "Assam, in a way, has witnessed unprecedented agitation and insurgency for decades. After 2016, Assam experienced a rebirth. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Assam has become a peaceful state. Today, I can confidently say that the state, which was once considered the most disturbed in the country, has now become the most peaceful state in our nation."
Sarma also recalled the first edition of Advantage Assam, held in February 2018, adding, "During that time, with the PM's blessings, our Numaligarh Refinery was expanded to 9 million metric tons at a cost of ₹27,000 crore."
He highlighted Assam's rapid infrastructure expansion, stating that 2,327 kilometres of national highways have been built since 2016; and the state's GDP has grown from $29 billion in 2013 to $68.7 billion in 2023.

Assam secured investment commitments exceeding 2.5 lakh crore on the inaugural day of the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025, marking a significant milestone in the state's economic growth.
Four corporate giants-Reliance, Adani, Vedanta, and the Tata Group-announced a collective investment of over 2 lakh crore in the northeastern state.
Mukesh Ambani Promises ₹50,000 Crore in 5 Years foamr Assam
Further, Reliance Industries (RIL) Chairman Mukesh Ambani also promised ₹50,000 crore investments in the state across five different verticals in Assam over the next five years, PTI said in another report.
Speaking at the Summit, Ambani added, "World will look at Assam as land of growth opportunities. Assam will become a technological paradise in the coming days. Assam's tech-savvy youth will give new meaning to Al Assam Intelligence."
Gautam Adani Pledges ₹50,000 Crore for Assam
Addressing the Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit in Guwahati on Tuesday, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said the conglomerate will invest ₹50,000 crore across various sectors in Assam. The investment will span various sectors, such as airports, aerocity, transmission, cement, gas distribution network and road construction projects in Assam, according to a PT/report.
"We are eager to be a part of the progress story of Assam. We will invest 50,000 crore in Assam. Assam is in a position to drive growth. And this is our commitment and vision to make way for us and the state," he said.

The first day of the summit witnessed major investment commitments from both private and public sector enterprises:

- Adani Total Gas Ltd: ₹5,000 crore
- Punjab National Bank Investment Services: ₹3,000 crore
- Essar Group: ₹2,100 crore
- OIL India Limited (OIL): ₹23,300 crore
- Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL): ₹10,711 crore
Other leading investors include ONGC, Oil India, Essar Group, DP World, Welspun, AMUL, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, among others.
HOW WILL IT HELP ASSAM?
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma projected that the state's economy, currently valued at approximately 6 lakh crore, is set to reach $143 billion (11.8 lakh crore) by 2030.
He urged global investors, industry leaders, and diplomats from over 60 countries to be part of the state's growth trajectory.
CAN ASSAM REPEAT WHAT GUJARAT DID?
Vibrant Gujarat is a biennial summit organised by the Gujarat government with a focus on bringing investment not only from other states, but also other countries.
The brainchild of Modi as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, the summit was launched in 2003.
Since 2003, ten editions of the VGGS have been held.
Each summit has been organised around a guiding motto – in 2024, it was 'Gateway to the Future'.
During the summit, various sectoral seminars are organised by the state government and partner countries.
